One Friday morning Charlie and I took off to the famous Royal Ascot Racecourse. I was really looking forward to wearing my new hat, but unfortunately, It didn’t arrive on time… I thought I will send it back, but once I put it on, I decided to keep it. Just in case…
Ascot racecourse is one of the leading racecourses in the UK, located juts six miles from Windsor Castle - the Queens weekend home (as I say) and therefore it is closely associated with The Royal Family. None of the Royalty were present that day, but nonetheless the day was fabulous, especially because I won nearly every bet I placed! All expenses covered!
The crowd was very mixed and I was relieved to see that not every girl wore a hat.
Thanks so much for the trip! I have wanted to visit Ascot for quite a while (ever since I started reading books by Dick Francis), so this was a treat!
D. Francis is definitely an important figure in UK’s racing history
I haven’t read any of his books yet, but now I am intrigued

I loved it there, this summer I was in two main racecourses in the UK and both times we had a brilliant time
The crowed was so mixed, and girls come soooo dressed up to this venue 
It’s a shame my hat didn’t arrive on time, but I’ll be ready for the next time
